Topic Three: Some Mentoring Resources
Mentorship in Sign Language Interpreting acknowledges the contributions of mentoring to the sign language interpreting profession. It reflects the progress and impact of mentoring in its many forms, theories and models for mentoring programs. Through innovative collaboration with the authors, the editors have provided an educational tool that has moved beyond simple implementation of mentoring programs to informed assessments of the impact of such programs.
An insightful guide and “must have” resource that will help create mentorships resulting in incredible and positive learning experiences for all participants. Gathered from mentors, the authors’ own continuing education experiences, interviews, and meetings, this book includes information on the processes and protocol used by different school districts as well as activities, resources, tools and materials utilized in mentorships.
