The original National Consortium of Interpreter Education Centers (NCIEC: 2005-2010 CFDA#84.160A&B) was formed and funded to address the national shortage of interpreters for Deaf, Deafblind, and hard‐of-hearing individuals. The NCIEC was comprised of five Regional Centers and TIEM’s National Center. Members of these Centers, along with an extensive partner network, worked collaboratively on cross‐center work teams on a variety of initiatives.
